Short version: your check results and scanner reports never reach us. We have no server that could store them.

Long version below. I've tried to write it the way I'd explain it if you asked me over dinner, rather than the way a lawyer would explain it if you were paying them by the minute. It's all true, it's all here, and if anything's unclear, please ask.

Self-check answers

Your answers stay in the web page while you do the check. They are not saved in your browser and are not sent to us or anyone else. Closing or refreshing the page clears them.

Scanner reports

The scanner saves your report and a results page on your own computer. When you open the results page, your browser loads only the page's display code from this website. Your report stays inside the file, and the page's security settings stop it sending data anywhere.

When you drop a report onto the report page, your browser reads it on your own device. The report page loads no outside scripts, not even our visitor counter, and its security settings stop it sending data anywhere. The scanner itself makes no internet connections.

If you install the scanner from Microsoft Store

The Store version is the same program: it makes no internet connections and sends us nothing. Microsoft runs the Store itself, so Microsoft's privacy statement covers the download and install. Microsoft tells us only how many times the app was installed, never who installed it.

Visitor counts

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to pages (but never the report page). It does not use cookies or similar storage and does not identify you. That is why there is no cookie banner on this site. Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes basic connection details such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect against attacks.

Email alerts

If you sign up for alerts, your email address is held by our newsletter provider, who sends you a message to confirm first. We use it only to send alerts about new AI tools. You can unsubscribe from any email.

Business reviews

If you book a review, Cal.com handles the booking and Stripe handles payment. We receive your name, email address and booking details. We never see your card details. We keep these records for as long as needed for the review and for our accounts.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Contact us using the details on our about page. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
